Since summer 2015, the Größenwahn Theatre can be found at Meinekestraße. The name is an eye-opening tribute to the legendary “Kabarett Größenwahn”, which was just around the corner (in the former “Café des Westens”, today’s "Kranzler-Eck"). In the 1920s, this was a centre of the cultural avant-garde.
The programme of the theatre is fully committed to this great tradition. It brings satirical satires with Jewish humour to the stage as well as ambitious new inter-cultural projects and literary-musical revues.
As the only Jewish theatre in Germany with its own ensemble and a continuous, varied repertoire in the German language, we have been a special feature of the theatre landscape of the Germany as well as a highlight in Berlin’s cultural landscape for the last 15 years!
