Filmmuseum Potsdam

Films have been made in Babelsberg since 1912. In the permanent exhibition TRAUMFABRIK, the Film Museum in Potsdam's historic centre presents the eventful history of the film studios in Babelsberg in a highly interactive way and with many original exhibits, as well as the various trades involved in the film production process, from the initial idea to the premiere.

Changing exhibitions in the oldest film museum with its own collections in Germany provide an additional insight into various media topics. The in-house cinema offers a regular and varied programme of events, including film series with international guests and silent film screenings with live accompaniment on the Welte cinema organ.
