Berlin Indoors

For this tour, plan in a full day. This rainy-day tour is not just for families with children (and not just for rainy days!). Weather permitting, you can also walk some of the short stretches between the stops. The tour starts at Alexanderplatz in the Illuseum Berlin and a world of amazing illusions – a place where nothing is as it seem to be! The next stop is the CityQuartier DomAquarée leisure location, which offers families a range of activities. On a visit to the Sea Life Berlin  adults and kids will thrill to this unique and fascinating insight into the amazing underwater life of the world’s oceans. Alternatively, in the nearby Berlin Dungeon (recommended for over 10s) explore the city’s dark side on a journey through Berlin’s history with gripping and scary stories from the Middle Ages to the 19th century. If you then stroll down the Unter den Linden boulevard, you pass numerous top sights, from the Berliner Dom Cathedral to the Museum Island, the Humboldt Forum, the German Historical Museum (DHM), the State Opera House, and Bebelplatz square. After around 20 minutes, you’ll reach the Madame Tussauds Berlin wax museum. Here, you can rub shoulders with renowned personalities from down the ages, film stars, athletes, musicians, and figures from politics and history. If you prefer, you can also take the 100 bus down the boulevard.

On the way, you’ll find it hard to resist the temptation of taking a detour to visit the Rausch House of Chocolate to explore the world of fine chocolate on three floors in the world’s largest ‘House of Chocolate’. If you are looking for a fun indoor activity for the evening, then don’t miss the Hurricane Factory Berlin and fly and float in Germany’s largest wind tunnel – or enjoy plenty of fun and action at JUMP House Berlin.
